Meet the Team
Clifford Stermer, M.D.
Founder and Medical Director
Dr. Clifford Stermer is Board-Certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. His comprehensive and specialized medical training has equipped him to care for some of the most complex rheumatological disorders diagnosed today.
Prior to moving to Florida, Dr. Stermer was the Medical Director for the biggest medical group in New Mexico. There he oversaw a best-in-class department of nine Rheumatologists. In 2021, 2022 and 2023 he was awarded Albuquerque's Top Rheumatologist by ABQ Magazine Top Doc awards, as voted by his medical peers.
Dr. Stermer completed his Internal Medicine residency at the NYU Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He went on to complete his Rheumatology fellowship at Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, NJ. During his training at NYU and fellowship at Rutgers, he was able to study under esteemed industry leaders and learn from the complex cases referred to these academic centers.
He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2012 from St. George's School of Medicine, Grenada, and his bachelor of science at Concordia University, Canada. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
Originally from Montreal, Dr. Stermer and his family moved to Palm Beach Gardens in 2022 to open One Rheumatology, to better serve and be part of the thriving community here in South Florida.
Britni Saint John

Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner
Britni began her nursing career in 2008 at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh with a specialization in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery and Trauma.
She then attended Simmons College, MA where she received a Master’s degree in Nursing. She has been a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016.
In 2023, Britni joined One Rheumatology, where alongside Dr. Stermer she is responsible for providing the best patient care possible. Britni’s aptitude for complex case management combined with her exceptionally positive attitude helps make One Rheumatology the leading center for the treatment of autoimmune conditions in Florida.
Before joining our team, she spent 7 years working in primary care in Boca Raton, Fl. In her spare time, her and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking and cooking.
Elizabeth Santiago
Chief Medical Assistant
Elizabeth is One Rheumatology’s lead medical assistant and our very first hire! A key touch point for all our patients, Liz ensures the practice runs smoothly each day.
With over 17 years of medical assistant and administrative experience, Liz took a chance on Dr. Stermer in 2022 and joined his brand new practice direct from St Joseph’s Hospital, New Jersey, where she was a lead Medical Assistant overseeing 22 sub specialities. Prior to that role, she also oversaw the Obgyn prenatal unit for 7 years.
Liz is fluent in Spanish and is available to assist our Spanish-speaking patients and families as needed.
Outside of One Rheumatology, Liz is a mother to three grown kids and a grandmother to two.
Jessica Anello
RN
Infusion Nurse
Jessica runs our leading-edge infusion suite here at One Rheumatology. Jessica is a highly-skilled registered nurse with over a decade of experience providing exceptional care to patients in outpatient, emergency and procedural settings.
Prior to joining One Rheumatology, Jessica held positions as an endoscopy pre and post procedure RN and an emergency department nurse. Jessica is an IV/ port and PICC expert!
Nakiyah Nelson
Front Desk Reception
Nakiyah is One Rheumatology’s front desk receptionist, our director of first impressions dedicated to ensuring a smooth check-in process for all of our patients.
Prior to joining our clinic, Nakiyah worked as patient service coordinator at a West Palm Beach vein specialist.
Beyond One Rheumatology, Nakiyah is also studying for her BA in Business at Palm Beach State College.
Eden Mishele
Medical Assistant
Since joining in June 2024, Eden brought his passion for patient care and medicine to the forefront as he works toward becoming a physician himself.
Eden's dedication to healthcare is evident from his previous roles, including his experience as an ER Medical Scribe in Delray and West Boca. He also served as a Commander in the Golani Brigade Reconnaissance Battalion, where he developed leadership, strategy, and collaboration skills.
His academic background in biochemistry from the University of Florida make him an invaluable part of our team. We are thrilled to have him on board and know he will continue to make a big impact on our patients’ lives!
